I’m Daniela - but you can call me Dani.

I’ve been lucky to call Montclair my home since 2019, after growing up one town over in Nutley, NJ. Some of my most cherished memories have been made right here in Montclair. These days, I’m lucky to create new ones every day with my husband and our mini dachshund, Obi.

Obi is loud, fun, wildly cute, and always running the show! Obi is perfect for Montclair - a town that is bursting with energy, creativity, and community. He can often be spotted (or heard) around town while his parents are enjoying one of Montclair’s many human amusements - the farmer’s market, fairs and festivals, or the occasional pop-up event.

For the last seven years, I worked as a casting producer for reality TV, interviewing thousands of people and helping them share their stories. I’ve always loved connecting with others, hearing what makes them unique, and creating moments that bring people together.

As a pawrent, I never want to leave Obi behind while enjoying my day in town. If you’re also a dog parent, I know you feel the same. We want to enjoy our community with our dogs. We also want our dogs to have a space to run, sniff, mingle, and live their best furry lives, which isn’t always an option for Montclair activities.

That’s why I started Montclair Dog. It’s a pop-up brand that celebrates pups, small businesses, and the people who love both. Through events, partnerships, and community moments, Montclair Dog creates space for dogs to be part of the experience, not just an afterthought.

In Montclair, dogs aren’t just our pets. They brunch with us on Church Street, jog along side us through Edgemont Park, and shop with us in Upper Montclair. Our dogs turn every sidewalk in town into a special spot where neighbors can bond with their dogs and enjoy our community. Our dogs are a vital part of our Montclair-family. We need a space that celebrates them.

That’s what Montclair Dog is all about. Not just dogs - but the people who love them. A gathering place. A vibe. A movement. And yes... a pawty.
